Where Should We Go For Our Photo Session?

by Jennifer Black on February 5, 2013

Where should we photograph my session? This is a great question, but it’s one I have to answer with a question of my own:  Are you interested in a natural setting or a more urban backdrop?

How you answer that answer to this question will help guide me in the right direction for you.

And don’t worry about the weather! Rain or shine, I’ve scouted plenty of locations to meet all conditions and occasions. A few of my favorites include: Downtown Des Moines, Valley Junction in West Des Moines, Saylorville, Iowa State Fairgrounds, Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines Botanical Center, a long list of parks and paths, and even in your own home.

Of course, I’m also open to working in your favorite places and even creating a themed session just for you! A themed session could include your favorite books, food, vintage accessories, hobby, etc.

There are many ways to personalize your photo shoot and my job is to help you plan the perfect session. I do that by helping you define a style for your portraits and then selecting and coordinating your clothing, hair, makeup, and all the little details that are critical to creating the overall outcome that you’re hoping for.

Traditional or contemporary, my desire is to capture your special memories and help you display them in your home for years to come!

Contact me today and lets plan your custom session…never miss a moment!

Your Photographer For Life,

Jennifer xoxo

Engagement Photos

by Jennifer Black on January 21, 2013

Wedding Photos in Johnston, IAIt doesn’t get any better than a good love story, and a good story that has beautiful photos is like the cherry on top of the sundae!

What is your love story? What is unique to you? Where do you like to hang out? What does he do that makes you laugh? Does your heart skip a beat when he holds you? Do you enjoy a cup a coffee together? A night at the movies or long walks?

Whatever love story you share with your soulmate, your wedding and engagement photos should reflect the experiences you’ve shared, the journey that brought you together, and the love that binds you.

Finding the best wedding photographer to trust with your engagement photos is a very important and intensely personal choice. It’s about building a relationship with someone you can trust and someone that can deliver a high quality product in a timely manner. Your wedding photographer should be someone you feel comfortable spending time with before, during, and after your most special day.  [click to continue…]
